Baker/Decorator/Artist
 
JOB TYPE: Full-time/Part-time
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role is responsible for the baking, decorating and overall presentation of all bakery products either sold at the storefront or delivered to our customers.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous baking/decorating experience
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/ Excel)
  • Ability to work well in a busy environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (8+ hours a day) as needed
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (according to customer demand)

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Produce our entire line of baked goods: quality cakes, cupcakes, cookies, breads and any other production items as designated by a manager according to The Sparky Noodle Bakery, Co. standards
  • Keep up with the pace of business and customer flow
  • Rotate product in freezer/walk-in using FIFO method
  • Understand proper use of all equipment: ovens, mixers, sheeters, scales, walk-in, and freezer
  • Maintain a clean production area including all equipment and front of house. Wash dishes, mop floors and clean restrooms.
  • Be efficient, accurate and organized
  • Respect your customers’ and co-workers’ space and time
  • Take and prepare special orders to ensure customer specifications are met
  • Make sure customers receive exceptional customer service at all times
  • Ensure operations are in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Greet, assist, provide outstanding service and thank guests in a prompt, courteous, friendly and business-like manner in order to promote the company image as a service-oriented operation

  • Fondant, Gum Paste, Modeling Chocolate, Buttercream
  • Figurine & Cake Sculpting
  • Airbrush/Painting Creativity
  • Cake Assembly
  • Cake Design and Decorating
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Culinary Degree
  • Serve Safe Certificate
